Our research themes are:

The scientific quality of each theme is evidenced by our externally peer-reviewed specialist centre status.

It is also underlined by the external grant funding we receive and the high-impact publications we generate from our research.

Our aim is to drive interdisciplinary working across our disease-based themes. We do this using a network of ‘clusters’, which combine specific infrastructure and world-class science and clinical service – set against the context of commercial and patient-based input.

In 2016, the NIHR awarded Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College London £64.4 million over five years to allow our Biomedical Research Centre to continue its groundbreaking research into innovative new treatments for patients.
