As part of our work to improve healthcare for all, we are investigating conditions linked to the heart or blood vessels, known as cardiovascular diseases.
Our Cardiovascular Research Advisory Group is made up of both cardiovascular patients and healthy research participants.
Group members play an important role in helping researchers at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and Kings College London find breakthroughs in their studies into cardiovascular conditions.
The group helps to shape how research projects are carried out and enables researchers to decide whether a study is feasible and what conclusions can be drawn from their findings.
Ultimately the group has the potential to help bring about new ways of treating cardiovascular conditions.
The group meets every quarter to discuss research projects with research teams.
