‘The work of our BRC Is helping to transform the perception of translational research in healthcare,’ Professor Graham Lord, Director of the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College London, told the King’s Health Partners’ (KHP) conference in London, earlier today.

During his talk at the high-profile annual event, Professor Lord provided updates on some of the ground-breaking BRC-funded trials currently taking place and outlined the significant achievements of the BRC since its inception.

In closing, Professor Lord said that the Centre’s pioneering work in developing novel therapies for patients was helping it to deliver on its mission to ‘provide a bridge between the lab and the bedside’.

The one-day King’s Health Partners event provided a forum for KHP’s stakeholders to share updates on some of their high profile initiatives, celebrate the partnership’s progress over the past year, and discuss the collective priorities, opportunities and challenges for the year ahead.

The keynote sessions at the conference were delivered by Professor Sir Malcolm Grant, Chair of NHS England; and the Executive Director of King’s Health Partners, Professor Sir Robert Lechler.
